One Sun offers a boutique angle at music licensing with a small curated roster of artists based out of the United States. With a unique blend of genres like alternative, folk, pop, rock, americana, ambient, and even punk rock, most songs are ONE STOP and ALL of them are written by real artists with real fans. This is not a music library or a publishing company. We represent unique and original music at it’s finest.

By licensing through One Sun, the artist keeps 70% of the sync fee and 100% of any backend royalties. The contracts are on a short-term rolling basis so that each artist has the freedom to navigate their careers as they see fit.

OLYMPIC MUSIC

Indie/Pop

It all goes back to the basement.Congregating in these close quarters, Future Thieves quite literally rose up from below the ground with a signature style carved out of rock ‘n’ roll tradition, yet anchored in modern 21st century production architecture. Merging pop ambition and handcrafted grit, the Nashville-based trio—Elliot Collett [vocals, guitar, keys], Austin McCool [guitar], and Nick Goss [bass]—cemented this foundation on their 2019 independent EP. As a result, the new material maximizes the intense and inimitable union shared by the musicians.“We went from a rock recording in a basement to doing more polished music with all kinds of gear in a professional studio,” explains Nick. “We knew exactly what we wanted to put down, but never fully could in the past. We can now, because we’ve taken every opportunity to develop our sound." “We went for a more organic sound,” Elliot explains. “On Future Thieves, we were surrounded by synthesizers and in a certain headspace where we wanted to get digital, but Horizon Line was more guitar-heavy and in-your-face. We’re combining those two aspects now. It’s cleaner and more natural with as few instruments as possible. It allowed us to focus on the impact of the songs and let them speak for themselves.” “The EP pulls everything together and is how we always envisioned Future Thieves,” Austin leaves off. “There are so many records we put on and appreciate. You can just drift off to them. We want everybody to get the same feeling.”

Raised in NY & hailing from TN, EPD, co-founding father of Nashville punk outfit, Diarrhea Planet, finds a niche within the chamber pop library between Beck and Elvis Costello. Fans of EPD note wit in his lyricism & the raw gravity of his live performances. Listeners will fall under the spell of Nashville pretty boy's ability to create garage-pop which blows a kiss at Squeeze & Harry Nilsson.
